On the afternoon of July 31, 2026, at the Production Operations Center Auditorium, Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company organized a training course on the topic "Lean Performance Management: Building KPIs and Competency Frameworks".
The program was taught directly by Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen – Head of the Human Resources Department of Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), and Member of the Board of Directors of Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company.
The training course was attended by 43 participants, including the Company's Executive Board; managers of departments and affiliated units; representatives of Quy Nhon Port Logistics Services Co., Ltd.; and officers in charge of KPI and competency framework work at various units.
The program focuses on methods for building and breaking down KPIs from company objectives to unit and individual levels; how to define targets, weights, measurement methods, data sources, and evaluation responsibilities. Simultaneously, participants are guided in developing competency frameworks tailored to the requirements of each job position, serving as a basis for personnel evaluation, training, and development.
Through the analysis and discussion of real-world situations at Quy Nhon Port, the program helps management staff unify their understanding and implementation methods; differentiate KPIs from routine tasks; and clearly define the outputs for each position.
The training course contributes to improving the performance management system and developing the capacity of the workforce, aiming to build an objective and transparent evaluation mechanism linked to work performance, creating a foundation for improving labor productivity and operational efficiency of Quy Nhon Port.
