About us
QUY NHON PORT JOINT STOCK COMPANY
Quy Nhon Port is a national-class general port of type I, a key hub in the South Central region, located in Quy Nhon Bay and sheltered by the Phuong Mai peninsula, making it ideal for anchoring and year-round operation. The port has a channel and berths capable of accommodating vessels up to 30,000 DWT and vessels with reduced load of 50,000 DWT.
This is the gateway to the East Sea for the South Central region, the Central Highlands, and the countries of the Mekong Subregion, located near international shipping routes with more than 10 shipping lines connecting major ports such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Vladivostok.
The port is located in the heart of Quy Nhon City, at the beginning of National Highway 19, conveniently connected to National Highway 1A, National Highway 14, the Duc Co and Bo Y international border gates, and is approximately 15 km from Dieu Tri railway station and 30 km from Phu Cat airport.
With a reputation for high productivity and fast vessel turnaround, Quy Nhon Port possesses modern infrastructure and equipment, meeting the needs for receiving and handling general cargo, containers, and oversized and overweight cargo.

HISTORY OF FORMATION
Quy Nhon Port was established on January 19, 1976, by Decision No. 222/QD-TC of the Ministry of Transport, based on the takeover of a former military port after the reunification of the country. Despite the limited infrastructure, the staff and workers gradually restored operations, serving the economic development of the South Central and Central Highlands regions.
Having undergone several stages of reform, in 1993 Quy Nhon Port became a State-owned enterprise under the Vietnam Maritime Administration; in 2009 it was transferred to the Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) and operates as a single-member limited liability company. In 2013, Quy Nhon Port became the first Class I seaport under VIMC to successfully complete the equitization process and transform into a joint-stock company.
From a cargo throughput of approximately 50,000 tons in 1976, Quy Nhon Port has developed strongly thanks to its autonomous business mechanism and synchronized investment in infrastructure and equipment. Today, the port has become one of the leading seaports in the Central region, playing a crucial role as a gateway for trade between the South Central region, the Central Highlands, and the Mekong Subregion.
